Unlike self-paced programs, these courses are fully interactive—you’ll join a cohort of dedicated students and connect weekly with experienced acharyas for live instruction, feedback, and mentorship. This structure keeps you accountable and connected, with a near 99% graduation rate, far surpassing typical online programs. Between sessions, you’ll study video content, complete reading assignments, and arrive to each class ready to participate. It’s a powerful and inspiring way to grow your practice in community.

Your dedicated instructor responds directly with tailored feedback on your insights and postures. In addition, you’ll have access to real-time video messaging support through our Marco Polo mentorship platform, where you can ask questions, share progress, and receive guidance anytime. It’s a deeply personal experience—one that’s helped produce some of the most skilled and embodied teachers we’ve seen.
What to Expect from the Self-Paced Training
This format includes 16 comprehensive modules, each broken into short, digestible video lessons (30–60 minutes), along with a downloadable workbook and full PDF textbook. Topics include yoga asana, philosophy, meditation, pranayama, and the yogic lifestyle—presented in a format that supports real-life integration. While we recommend completing the training within a year, there’s no expiration. You’ll have lifetime access to the material and ongoing support from your mentor. • A self-paced 200-hour training with one-on-one mentorship
You can choose the format that best fits your life, or combine them over time.

Yes. Our 200-hour and 300-hour programs are registered with Yoga Alliance. Students who complete all requirements receive a certificate that can be used to register as an RYT-200 or RYT-300/500, depending on the training track.
-
These trainings are for dedicated students who want to deepen their practice, share yoga with others, or both. You do not need to be “advanced” to join; a sincere interest in yoga, meditation, and personal growth is more important than perfect postures.
-
No. Many of our 200-hour students have never taught before. You’ll be guided step by step through practice teaching, cueing, and class design. Our upper-level and live online modules are best for students who have already completed a 200-hour training (with us or elsewhere).
-
• In-person 200-hour training in Hawaiʻi: 10 immersive days, followed by a short integration period and final assignments.
• In-person 60-hour modules: one focused week in Hawaiʻi.
• Live online modules: eight consecutive Saturdays, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. HST.
• Self-paced 200-hour: 16 modules you can complete on your own timeline; most students finish within 6–12 months.
-
In-person trainings include daily yoga, meditation, and philosophy, small-group teaching labs, and shared meals on the ashram property. You’ll practice alongside residents, participate in community rhythm, and have space to explore nearby beaches and the island during breaks.
-
We keep all formats intentionally small so you can receive personal attention and feedback. Group sizes vary by training, but most cohorts range from about 8–20 students.
-
Very. Live online modules meet weekly on Zoom and include meditation, journaling, group sharing, practice teaching, posture feedback, and discussion. You’ll be on camera, engaged, and supported by both teachers and peers—not just watching a lecture.
-
The self-paced 200-hour training includes ongoing, one-on-one mentorship. Each module ends with a short teaching assignment you submit by video, and your instructor responds personally with detailed feedback. You’ll also have access to real-time video messaging support (via Marco Polo) to ask questions and receive guidance as you go.
